Goals and Objectives:
1. Provide leaders with the Proper Formation by a. Offering the trainings and/or scholarships for the formation of Core Members (young 15-18 year old leaders) who are working towards their approval as Core Members through the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry. b. Offering the trainings and/or scholarships for the formation of volunteers who are working towards their certification as Youth Ministers approved by the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry c. Offering the trainings and/or scholarships for the formation of youth ministers who are working towards their certification as Coordinators of Youth Ministry through the Archdiocesan Leadership Program of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, Mundelein; as outlined in the USCCB National Standards for Certification of Lay Ecclesial Ministers serving as Coordinators of Youth Ministry. d. Promoting Adolescent Catechesis e. Organizing, implementing and/or hosting retreats that will foster un-going Spiritual Formation f. Presenting them with key leaders and speakers of the field that not only become their mentors but a key human resource for their ministries. g. Organizing, presenting and/or hosting leadership training skills needed to effectively organize and develop a community of faith.
2. Provide leaders with the Proper resources by having available: a. Up-to-date Literature, books and documents approved by the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry that could be used for their own personal development or that of their ministry. b. Audio and Visual media approved by the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry that could be used for their own personal development or that of their ministry c. Contact information of other agencies, institutions and organizations that could offer them the services and/or products needed for their ministries and programs
3. Support the efforts of our leaders to successfully develop comprehensive youth ministries by providing them with the equipment, materials and supplies needed for the activities, programs, retreats, community services, classes and experiences they will offer to their leaders and members.
4. Support the efforts of our leaders as they network with each other to create a Common mission and a common agenda, providing them with a central space to meet and organize.
