Scouts
The Archdiocese of Chicago
serves youth and adults in over 300 Scouting units in parishes/missions
in Cook and Lake Counties in Illinois. The Cub Scout program basically
serves boys in grades first through fifth grade. The Boy Scout program
basically serves boys in grades sixth through twelve. The Venture
program is targeted at high school and college age boys and girls. The
Archdiocese of Chicago, Catholic Committee on Scouting Chairman and
Scout Chaplain are appointed by the Cardinal, and is administratively
part of the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry! We serve youth in
six BSA councils, Calumet, Chicago Area, Des Plaines Valley, Northeast
Illinois, Northwest Illinois, and Three Fires.
