Chapel and Auditorium, Priory Campus of
Dominican University
Zeni Fox is the featured speaker at the Siena
Center's annual celebration in honor of Catherine of Siena. She will
address themes that this lay Dominican inspires in our time: the role of
women in ministry and the emerging understanding of lay ministry within
the Church. Fox, a professor at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception,
Seton Hall University, New Jersey is the leading U.S. theologian of lay
ministry. She is the author of New Ecclesial Ministry: Lay Professionals
Serving the Church (1997) and Called and Chosen: Toward a Spirituality for
Lay Leaders (2005). A reception follows. Admission is FREE. Call the Siena
Center 708-714-9105 for more information. The event will be held at
Dominican
University's Priory Auditorium, 7200 Division Street, River Forest.

Faith
and Fellowship
Faith and Fellowship is an ongoing program of faith
formation designed for adults who have mental illness. Using a model similar to the RCIA,
groups of 10-15 people gather regularly for reflection, prayer, and agape. There is a
network of these parish-based communities that provide both inclusion and spiritual
support for their members. Training and archdiocesan approved catechetical materials are
provided. Contact Connie Rakitan (Program Director) 708/383-9276, or faith_fellowship@hotmail.com.
