	Parish Coordinator Manual	Describes the responsibilities of every parish catechetical leader toward the formation and certification of parish catechists. Also contains the forms the CL needs to administer formation of catechists in the Fostering Faith process.

Catechist are entrusted with opening hearts and minds to the message of Jesus alive in the Church and must have a solid understanding of the faith and skills necessary to proclaim that message to others. For this resaon, Archdiocesan policy requires all catechists to "participate in ongoing formation in faith, catechetical training and education.

What is Fostering Faith? Fostering Faith is a program leading to Archdiocesan Catechist Certification. It assists catechists by deepening the knowledge and Skills needed for the catechetical ministry to children, youth, and adults. It also provedes the structure to assure that all catechists recive a systematic, organic and progressive theological and ministerial formation.
