We are the Church!

gathering
We are a Church on the move. The image above which we have chosen for the Chicago Catechetical Conference celebrates our Pilgrimage. As Psalm 122 reminds us (from the liturgy for the first day of the Conference), we rejoice, bringing along those willing to join us as we gather in our churches. And we are looking forward to that day when all the Faithful can gather in our Eternal Home.

"Catholics Come Home!" has helped us all celebrate that - as we rejoice with all of those who have been welcomed once again among us. More will come! As long as we exercise the energy that Faith, Hope, and Love give us, we will continue to be a growing, evangelizing Church.

And, of course, we are a catechizing Church - thus, the theme of the Chicago Catechetical Conference for November 2010. We will take two days to celebrate our Catholic Church, and to explore ways that our communities can share the Good News with children, youth and adults and live together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Please join us as we explore this great theme together - and bring a group along with you!
